We split B2 into two structured halves. B2.1 pushes you from getting by to genuinely following along — picking up detail in natural-paced conversations, reading longer texts in your field of interest, and explaining your point of view clearly without long pauses. B2.2 takes it further: you'll debate current topics with native speakers, weigh the pros and cons of an argument, and defend a position under mild pushback. Spontaneous speech gets noticeably smoother, and you'll have the range to talk about abstract topics, not just everyday ones. This is the level most universities and employers look for.
Who this level is for
B2 is the benchmark for German course for higher studies in Germany and German course for masters in Germany applications — most university admissions and skilled job roles specify B2 as the minimum requirement.
