You know from A2 that Futur I is built with werden + infinitive. At B1, the focus shifts to WHEN Germans actually reach for it: making a promise, a confident prediction, or an assumption about now — not just any future event (which usually just uses present tense + a time word).
| Use | German | English |
|---|---|---|
| Simple future plan | Ich fahre morgen nach Berlin. | I'm going to Berlin tomorrow. (present tense is enough) |
| Promise | Ich werde dir helfen. | I will help you. (a promise) |
| Prediction | Es wird morgen regnen. | It will rain tomorrow. |
| Assumption now | Er wird wohl zu Hause sein. | He's probably at home. (assumption, not future!) |
What does 'Er wird wohl krank sein' most likely mean?
